"We had researched some siding contractors in the area and decided that the range and experience of Weatherproof Remodeling would suit us the best. Kurt worked with us on colors, styles and options. We definitely got it right."

I loved this project. I also learned a few things. After advising and helping the homeowners thru the style and color selection process, we decided to put some selections on the wall as a visual. I was pleasantly surprised that the homeowners had nailed the color combo so well. The Wicker/Brown/White did not register in my head as well as it presented on the wall.
Best looking house on the block. Napco siding and shake.
"Ron sided our previous home and it is still the nicest on the block. We knew who to call for our current project."

Wind and hail damaged this home in 2010. A whole new look was in order. We eliminated the shutters and installed a much needed cellular pvc trim. The circle-top window trims are custom bent from a template of the existing windows.
Now the windows proudly stand apart from the rich Flagstone color Napco siding. The porch posts are covered with a detailed cellular pvc putting the final touches to a truly excellent exterior makeover.
"We were referred to Weatherproof by a local supplier of AZEK materials. We had a whole new look in mind for the front of our home.
We are very pleased not only with the finished product, but the fine detail, the neatness and the cleanup. Thanks."
The exterior of this home was looking tired. Even though this home faces north, the previous builder grade product had faded horribly. A contemporary new look was in order.
The siding was stripped from the front only. New Certainteed solid color Shake was added. A different strategy for the bay window lead us to AZEK, a cellular pvc. We used a variety of different shapes to create the current look.
Weatherproof and beautiful, don't you think?
"The crews were excellent. Kurt went above and beyond in detail and caring for our home. I call him first for my remodeling needs."
This home transformation took place in 2010. The original siding was a light duty Encore panel by Wolverine. We replaced this siding with Sovereign by Gentek. The panel is a double 4 inch, .046, in Dark Drift color. The garage and door trims are custom bent from pvc coated alloy.
Upgraded and superior performing windows were installed ahead of winter.
As you can tell, the front facing windows also changed in style. The windows
are Earthwise windows with Super-spacer technology. The install was in new construction style with integral nail fin, Butyl flange tape, Tec-foam insulation
and new colonial interior trim.
Our Weathered Rock roof complements the Dark Drift siding. The contrasting white trim gives a classy look. Many different shutter colors can be used in this scheme but the homeowners choice of Wineberry is my favorite.
Most often we like to choose gutter and downspout colors to blend-in or disappear into the siding. The Dark Drift is a new Sovereign color. We all were unaware that downspout color choices would not come close to the siding color. So I had them custom painted before install. I don't want the homeowner's enjoyment of my work to be limited by availability of downspout choices.
"Kurt has become a friend. Above and beyond as I always say. Whenever I drive up to my home, I think that someone important must live here."
We install many different products for our homeowners. This home needed some small additions and updating. First new insulated windows by Polaris. Then custom pvc coated alloy trim on all windows, doors, fascia. Insulated wrap was added under the siding for a radiant heat barrier. Then Sovereign siding by Gentek is the finishing touch.
Our homeowner had a request for a porch cover after we had started the remodeling. Of course the concrete needed leveling and footing before construction. The finish post product is a cellular pvc with detailed base, mid-trim and crown.
One particular custom detail of note. Our homeowner had a beautiful stained glass transom window mounted behind the prime transom window (a transom is a window over a door). In order to make this window as energy efficient as the rest of the windows in the house, I needed to carefully remove and remount the delicate stained glass. A success!
Not only an efficient transom, but a beautiful family creation for years to enjoy.
